Our Japan Business Service Group is part of Corporate IT, which develops applications for domestic departments, such as the Wealth Management Division, and group companies of Nomura Securities using Agile methodology. Our mission is to contribute to the promotion of DX in cooperation with business users, with the agile development of "Made in Japan" quality utilizing the latest technology. Engineers are flexibly involved with a wide variety of in-house development and projects. Communication within the team and with other teams will take place in both English and Japanese, and the team is structured with multinational members. English-speaking developers who want to challenge themselves and learn Japanese language skills are also welcome. We have a DevOps tools environment in place and adopt agile development process that automates deployment and testing using JIRA, Confluence, GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible, Selenium, etc. The team is seeking talented individuals to fill a wide range of roles, from developers responsible for proposing, developing, and operating systems related to the Wealth Management business and group companies, to development leads guiding the development team.　You will be involved with one of the developments depending on your expertise, skills, and experience. Communication with business users will be primarily in Japanese, so Japanese language skills for leads are essential. <Expected responsibilities> Webベースアプリケーションの新規開発および運用保守 関係者とのビジネス要件擦り合わせ、連携、取りまとめ アジャイル開発チームの一員としてアーキテクチャー設計および開発に従事 CI/CDパイプライン の構築、および運用保守 システム連結テスト、総合テスト、UATなどのテスト計画、ケース作成、実施および管理 関連システム、インフラストラクチャなど多数のビジネス、IT 関連部署との密なコミュニケーション 変更管理、変更分析、エンドツーエンドのテスト等、各種調整支援 開発リードポジションの場合、スケジュールに従ってプロジェクトを確実に実行できるよう、適切なマイルストーンの決定とマネジメントへの報告 開発リードポジションの場合、コード レビューを実施し、ゲートキーパーとして開発メンバーを指導 アジャイル開発および DevOps の促進 Management of new and mid-stage application development of both client and web-based applications for global implementation, driven from Tokyo. Solutions are all centered on a total in-house development methodology. Interfacing with stakeholders' business requirements and documenting them on a timely basis. Design and develop system architecture as a developer in an Agile development team. Construct and maintain the CI/CD pipeline. Plan and manage testing of system implementations by acting as the accountable owner for managing test cases and representing the team for test cycle reviews such as SIT, E2E, and UAT. Collaboration with partner technology departments such as front and middle office, settlement systems, reference data, infrastructure, and other core IT counterparties. Collaboration with overseas teams during various phases of the project lifecycle. Support change management, change analysis, and front to back coordination. As a development lead, apply project management duties to ensure project delivery according to program schedules, and determining and reporting delivery milestones. Full hands-on coding abilities and act as a gatekeeper in code reviews. Proactively support ongoing analysis of graphical user interfaces and functional specifications for in-scope applications with the objective to recommend and contribute to ongoing improvements. Act as lead/trainer for Agile and DevOps methodologies to other colleagues in technology and beyond. Application ownership activities including L3 support.

Minimum of experience in general-purpose programming languages across multiple OS environments (Unix/Linux/MS), preferably in front-end development with Java and Python. Solid experience and understanding of DevOps and Agile development methodologies, with established expertise across a range of core tools like GIT, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Cucumber. Strong understanding of Java Open Source Application Frameworks, such as the Spring framework. Proficiency in database design, preferably using SQL Server. Strong oral and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
